New York: The Century Co, 1924. First Edition. Fine. Imperial folio, [xxii] 202 pages; SIGNED, LIMITED edition, one of 250 copies printed for America (of a total of 568, of which 550 are for sale). "Containing 113 plates in photogravure, after photographs by the author, with a preface by Sir Sidney F. Harmer." A large paper copy (15" x 11 1/2") of the true first edition, signed by the author on the limitation page - this copy is number 170. Publisher's green cloth decorated in gilt. Large folding frontipiece of 6 elephants advancing, is linen backed and is housed in a cloth pocket over rear pastedown. A beautiful copy, magnificent in its size and quality of the photographs. Internally clean and bright, with no markings of any kind.
