Calling itself the Holy Office the Spanish Inquisition was surely one of the most cruel ever set up by man - it was an evil thing and from it grew evil - all done in the name of Jesus Christ who commanded his followers to love one another. The Inquisition officially ran from 1483 to 1834 and was not confined to Spain but went where ever the Spanish had interests including Holland, Italy, and the New World. 544 pages with 31 illustrations. Book in good condition ex library with stamp and reference on back endpapers, stamp on bottom edge, cover has some knocks to edges minor foxing on a few pages, and some tanning. Dust jacket in good condition price clipped in clear wrapper with sticker on spine and back.
