This is a rare copy of Sons of Martha: University of Alberta Faculty of Engineering 1913-1988. It was written by Dr. George Ford, the co-founder and former chairman and dean of the university's faculty of mechanical engineering.
It is a history of engineering at the university, with loads of photographs, anecdotes, quotes from the news, awards, lists of graduates etc.
The title page is signed by the author. It also comes with the original brochure of The Spirit of George Ford Endowment Fund.
259 pages. It never had a dust jacket. Brand new condition; no one has ever read this book.
With the book, you get two beer steins from the University of Alberta. One is 5 3/4", porcelain, black and gold. The other is 4 3/4", chrome, with a see-through bottom and the stylized AA logo incised on it.
