Book's interior is crisp and clean. Binding is tight and sharp corners. Front board has some water staining, as does unclipped dust jacket. Jacket also has wear and chipping along all edges. Illustrated with Virginia Lee Burton's stunning black-and-white illustrations, including decorative endpapers. Musical arrangements by Grace Castagnetta. A Caldecott Honor book for 1948. 4to. 123 pp. In protective Mylar. .
