McKinnon, Brian, Melbourne, 1997. Edition Unstated. Softcover (Saddle-stapled). Very Good Condition. This is a catalogue that was issued in NAIDOC week July 1998, and also at the exhibition held in October 1997 in Italy. The text is bilingual, Italian to the left English to the right, and features the work of John Clark, Brian McKinnon, and Crystal McKinnon. Rubbing of the spine section, small crease in the bottom right-hand corner front panel. In 1997 the artist travelled to Italy in an arts exchange project titled Sogno Indigeno (Indigenous Dream), which toured various locations in northern Italy, before travelling to Victoria, Australia in 1998 for NAIDOC Week. Along with carved emu eggs, McKinnon exhibited paintings that addressed a reclamation of country and culture, and works that mirrored his own intermittent journeys back to his ancestral lands.
