Second U.S. edition. 5 1/4" x 8:m 523 pages with publisher's ads at th e rear hardcover bound in brown, blind stamped cloth with gold spine l ettering. Frontis plate portrait of Spencer. A Very Good copy. Rubs to the book's corners and spine tips. Small bumps to the lower corners. The spine lettering is dull and the spine is lightly faded. The fronti s plate and title page are foxed. Former owner's name is inked on the second fly leaf. Content is clean, tight & unmarked. According to Wiki pedia, Murray Rothbard called Social Statics "the greatest single work of libertarian political philosophy ever written." A clean, tight ear ly edition. .
