London: John Camden Hotten, 1865. Later printing. Hardcover. Near Fine. 8vo. [5], vi-xxi, [4], 2-305, [1], [1]-5 (pages of publisher's advertisements), [1], [16] (pages of publisher's advertisements) pp. Purple publisher's cloth with gilt decorations on the front board and spine. Coated green endpapers and pastedowns. Publisher's advertisements are illustrated. The text is illustrated with a device on the title page and a full-page map of "the begging district" of London. Stated "Eleventh Thousand" on the copyright page. A later edition of Hotten's slang dictionary, in pleasing condition. A very slight lean and a small push to the top textblock.
