White rear board lightly spotted. A little light rubbing to corners. page margins lightly tanned. Pages 76 and 77 have been stuck together in their upper quadrants resulting in some surface loss and staining to upper fore edge of page 77. Contemporary (Xmas 1941) gift inscription on front endpaper. Good.

Mild cracking to hinges, however binding remains firm. Mild thumb-marking present. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Mild droplet to fore edge. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking and foxing to boards. Heavy tanning to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Notable peeling of paper from spine.
