London: Frederick Warne and Co, 1880. Cloth. Good. 7" by 4.5". Not Stated. Henry Hall Dixon's interesting sporting novel, illustrated throughout, including with a folding plate. A sporting novel This novel was originally serialised in the periodical 'Sporting Magazine'. Illustrated with a frontispiece, vignette title page, folding plate, and four plates. Written by Henry Hall Dixon, under the pseudonym 'The Druid'. With thirty pages of publisher's adverts to the rear, with an additional publisher's advert leaf from Stanley Paul & Co loosely inserted. Prior owner's ink inscription to the verso to the vignette title, 'Charles ... Banks Gray's Inn'. Undated, dated from Copac from a copy held at the British Library. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Some light rubbing and fading to the boards and spine. Front hinge is starting but firm. Front endpaper, frontispiece, and title page are detached but present. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just a couple of very light spots. Good
