Thomas Nelson and Sons, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. no edition stated. 358 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Colour illustrated plates throughout. Plate opposite page 224 is detached. but still present. Pages are lightly tanned and foxed, with text and illustrations remaining bright and clear. Severe cracking to gutter towards centre of text block, as well as read hinge, with exposed netting. However, binding is firm. Prize plate to front pastedown. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and visible scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are moderately tanned, with noticeable crushing and slight splitting to ends. Light rubbing overall. Book has a forward lean.
