He contributed two of the ten chapters and with nine others really brings the history of the town to life. From the prehistory and Roman eras through to the 20th. Century there has been a vibrant community in this place and although we see the architecture of the Regency period as the predominant face showing to the outside world, the history of this community is far more widely drawn than one might expect.
