New York: Brentano's, 1928. First Edition. First printing (2,500 copies). Salmon cloth, titled in black on spine with rules and cover decoration stamped in black and red; dustjacket; 270pp; illus. Tight and straight, with a bit of soiling to text block edges; Very Good+. In the original pictorial dustwrapper, slightly rubbed and soiled with shallow loss at crown of spine panel, costing a portion of printed title; just VG.

Underwood's second published book, a loosely-structured novel incorporating passages of commentary and poetry. Decorated throughout with Underwood's own highly characteristic wood engravings. A rather elaborate work, beautifully illustrated and somewhat uncommon in dustwrapper.
