About This Item

New York: Nan Talese / Doubleday, 2003. First Edition. SIGNED by Newman and Hotchner. 8vo. 253 pp. Illustrations. Includes several recipes utilizing Newman's salad dressing. A fine copy in fine dustjacket. In December, 1980, Newman and Hotchner joined forces in Newman's barn to bottle up his preferred salad dressing for Christmas gifts to friends and neighbors. This simple gesture exploded into a successful business benefitting charitable causes, largely to medical research, education, the environment, and eventually to the creation of the Hole in the Wall Gang camps for children with serious illnesses. "With rare gilmpses into their zany style and their compassion for those less fortunate, Newman and Hotchner have written the perfect nonmangement book, at once playful, informative, and inspirational." - dustjacket flap.
