London: Sherratt and Hughes, 1903. First printing of Moryson's late 16th Century travels, completing his itinerary published in 1617. Taken from MS owned by Corpus Christs College, Oxford. Introduction and account of Moryson's career by Charles Hughes. Pale blue covers with ivory leather spine and gilt lettering. Book is solid with mild bumping and wear to corners and light mark on lower spine where sticker has been removed. Front hinge starting to weaken. Small (2cm), neat college library stamps on copyright page and rear pastedown. Gilt page top edges and roughcut pages - some uncut. 497pp. A very nice copy for its age. Ref:06987. Fifth Edition. Cloth/leather. VG-/N/a. 20x26cm.
