This piece includes an analysis of the spring water sent to Brother Elijah Myrick dated Nov. 15, 1880 and this piece was probably published in early 1881 in anticipation of the opening of The Rural Home located at the former North Family of the Harvard Shaker Community. The recently constructed North Family dwelling was converted to a health resort featuring Shaker Medical Water.
