Little, Brown and Company, Boston, 1932. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Good. Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt embossed decoration and titles to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper with black colour titles to the front panel and backstrip. A series of articles written by the author for The Atlantic Monthly in the early part of the 20th century (first edition 1921). The author talks about the education system and what it is doing to youth, and how educationalists can encourage their students to fly, not shackle two earth. Softening and browning to the textblock edges with rubbing to the book corners and lower book edges. Browning in foxing to the textblock edges and lighter browning in foxing to the pages. Offset tanning and faint foxing to the endpapers, previous owners name to the free front end paper and original bookseller's sticker to the lower left-hand corner of the same page. The sticker has ghosted on to the front paste-down. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. There is a small tear to the top edge of the front dustwrapper panel, with creasing and rubbing to both the dustwrapper edges and panels. Sunning to the backstrip along with signs of handing marks and stains to the dustwrapper panels. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [3], 4-138 pages.. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
