A deluxe leatherbound Franklin Library edition offering a selection of poems by Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869-1935). Edited by Morton Dauwen Zabel. The Maine-born author won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry three times and was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature four times. Franklin Library booklet about this work is laid in. Issued as an entry in the publisher's 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature series, issued in conjunction with the Bicentennial of the American Revolution. One of an unspecified number in this limited edition. --- Bound in full green bonded leather covers with three raised bands on spine. Spine titling, elaborate decorations to covers and spine, and textblock edges all in bright gilt. Interior leaves printed on high-quality papers. Green silk moire endpapers, with matching sewn-in satin ribbon placemarker. Volume lacks a dust jacket (as issued). --- An about-Near Fine copy: crisp, tightly-bound and bright but with ever-so-slight sunning to edges of moire endpapers and tiny scratches to gilding on textblock fore-edge.; Octavo (8 to 9 in. tall); (14), 314 pages .
