About This Item
New York: McLoughlin Bros./ Clover Books, 1952. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Near Fine. First Edition, and a publisher's error copy (see below). See scans and description. New York: McLoughlin Bros./ Clover Books, 1952. 'The Secret of Thunder Mountain - A Tom Quest Adventure', by Fran Striker. Tall 12mo (7 5/8" tall), illustrated glossy boards, peach endpapers, peach dyed pages edges, 176 pp (175pp.+ 1). Textblock is bound inverted within the covers - meaning, as you read it, others around you will see you as reading it upside down. Uncommon publisher's error. Near Fine; one very small abrasion at top left, front cover (scan), and standard peripheral age-toning to the pages (scans). Certainly one of the better-preserved examples still around. A Fran Striker 'Tom Quest' young-adult western adventure tale, from that series (see some of the other titles listed on back-cover scan). Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course - not a bag. L4
