Brown publisher's cloth with stamped gilt emblem of Native American Chief with gilt spine titles. Tall 4to; 11.75 inches tall; xxxvii, 477 pages : 77 plates, figures. 1-35, 347-714 (382 of these forming 98 plates), (some color with tissue guards), 2 maps. plates, maps.
The bindings are firm with openings to the paper on the front hinge. Text clean, light even toning. Moderate shelf handling wear with rubbed corners and spine tips. Area of a damp-stain on the rear board
