About This Item

Edmonds, Washington: Pacific Fast Mail, 1988. Second Printing 1995 . Hardcover. New/New. Signed, inscribed and dated on the title page by the author as follows: "To Mr & Mrs James Lasseter/of Tampa, Florida/Best Wishes/Warren W. Wing/ Tukwila Wash/July 28, 2001". In addition on the same day the bookseller met the last living interurban driver alive in the western Washington area and he signed the book on page 96 underneath a picture of himself in his Trolley that he drove on many occasions. The book itself was acquired from the author and I personally witnessed him sign and later that same day witnessed the interurban driver sign and date the book. Unfortunately, Warren Wallace Wing passed away in September, 2011 and Walter Shannon died at age 93. So the book author and the last living Seattle Trolley driver are no longer with us, but we have the history and the signatures in this book. In addition Warren W. Wing's business card is included with Walter Shannon's name, address and phone number on the back of the card. Further we have a color photograph of Warren Wing taken at his home on 7-28-01 holding a Trolley lantern. Lastly, we have Warren Wing's address, phone number and directions how to get there on a small sheet of paper. All of this is included with the book. 160 pages. Many black and white photographs. The volume itself has white covers with black lettering on the spine and front cover. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. Clean, fresh, tight and bright. A highly collectible, near pristine copy, that probably is a one of a kind. A precious keepsake for an interested party. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
