About This Item

NY: Harper & Brothers, 1954. Bound in brown boards, stamped in black in matching dust jacket -- similar to the first edition. This is the Sears Book Club edition (noted from a flyer laid in). Some uniform yellowing to book and dust jacket, but a most acceptable copy. It is hard to find any hard cover copy of this important Western novel. Basis for the John Ford movie that starred "the Duke" and Natalie Wood. . Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Very Good +/Very Good +.

Synopsis

In this great American masterpiece, which served as the basis for the classic John Wayne film, two men with very different agendas push their endurance beyond all faith and hope to find a little girl captured by the Comanche.
