Hardcover in pale green and ocean blue decorated cloth. 214 pp. Fine (previous owner's statment, name and address on front free endpaper. In attractive, near fine dust jacket with minimal wear at the spine extremities. A sister, nineteen, and brother, seven, live in a small boat on shore of Cape Cod, having come from their broken European homeland. They are befriended by taciturn but hardworking Americans. When another small boat carrying a college professor who is trying to leave behind an unsatisfying, lonely life, a gentle romance develops between him and the girl.
