Handsomely bound in orange cloth threequarter bound in leather with gilt crest of the Duke of Beaufort, who has edited this edition assisted by Alfred Watson.Spine is very faded and rubbed. Printed label to spine describing the special edition. Pages are age-tanned with some foxing but otherwise clean. Pages are rough cut. Taped repair to front and back hinge. Numerous illustrations by various artists in black and white. Previous owner's book plate on fep. A very good copy of this indispensible classic. 1895
