About This Item
Peter Davies, London., 1930. Second edition, revised and enlarged. Octavo. 291 pages. Contemporary (1931) gift inscription on front free endpaper. Cloth slightly spotted. Very good indeed in the rare printed ''transmatic'' dustwrapper with flaps, which has large chips. The dustwrapper flap cites T.E. Lawrence: "I've read Scenes and Portraits at least fifty times ... that's a masterpiece too, and the man who wrote it is the only man who could have written Her Privates We.
