Near fine cloth hardcover with light musty smell shows some rubbing at cover edges and corners, bump to top corner of group of pages and some other mild trace wear, else tight and clean, in very good + dust jacket (price at flap) showing some mild shelfwear and soil. 256 pages accompanied by a generous offering of illustrations and plates. Still a pleasing copy of this installment in the Saturday Book series that features work from an assortment of literary notables including John Betjeman, Hammond Innes, V. S. Pritchett, Compton Mackenzie, Alec Waugh, Madge Garland and many, many others.
