About This Item

Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Co, 1964. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7. Doubleday & Co., 1964. Hardback Reprint in Good Condition. No Jacket. Brown full cloth with green titles to spine, clean and unmarked, light wear to lower corners and spine head and heel; tight, solid and square, hinges intact. Rough cut. Pale spot on lower edge of page block. Internals lightly toned, quite clean, no markings of any kind, no creases. An American colonel in a POW camp with a thousand British and American POWs maintains strict discipline in the camp and the POWs hate him. They call him "von" Ryan in derision. He reckons to take the train to Switzerland and freedom. 327 pp. 8.56" x 5.5". 1964, Doubleday & Co., Garden City, New York.
