New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1906. Reprint of 1906. Very good in dark blue cloth covered boards with gilt text and designs on the spine and on the front boards. A small octavo of 7 1/2 by 4 7/8 inches with the top edge of the text block gilt. The cloth at the corners of the head and heel of the spine are rubbed as are the tips of the boards and the black third free end page is missing. There is a prior owner's book plate on the first free end page. The contents are clean and tight to the binding There is no dust jacket. 296 pages of text. A collection of eight short stories and illustrated with a frontispiece and 7 plates from drawings by Appleton Clark. The spine and front board show a very elaborate Art Nouveau design in gilt, and green created by Margaret Armstrong.
