Volume I: 278 pp.; Vol. II: 212 pp.; Vol. III: 269 pp.; Vol. IV: 227 pp.; Vol. V: 484 pp.; Vol. VI: 349 pp. No illus. in any volume. Heavy at 10 pounds and will require extra postage. Founded in December 1768, the Royal Academy of London held its first annual summer exhibition of works by living artists the following year. Nowadays, approximatelly 10,000 works are submitted annually for exhibition, of which some 1,500 are actually exhibited. This reference lists architects, artists, engravers, painters, sculptors, etc. by surname (with address) and a list (by year) of their works exhibited. v. 1. A-CAR.--v. 2. CAS-D.--v. 3. E-HAR.--v. 4.
