Soft cover. square12mo, 19.5x 15.2cm, 150p., with around 170 sepia tone illustrations, original colour wrappers bound in, in fine signed binding by "Birdsall" in full crimson calf, two gilt decorated raised bands, gilt borders and decorations in the panels, crushed dark green morocco label gilt, gilt ruled borders in gilt crest (Ashbury College Ottawa) on the upper cover, blind decorated inner dentelles, crimson marbled endpapers and edges, with school presentation book plate on front paste down, a very attractive copy in fine condition of this attractive Birdsall binding, (ho3.1) ~ Very attractively fine signed binding, for a school prize copy with school crest on front & presentation plate, "Ashbury College, Ottawa 1931" and signed "Bound for Thorburn and Abbott by Birdsall". Thorburn and Abbott was a well know new and antiquarian bookstore in Ottawa which ran from the 1860 to the late 1930's. One of The Medici Society "Picture Guides
