Three octavo volumes. 250-228-178 pp. Preface by Paul Bourget. Illustrated with ten etchings by A. Salmon after Leopold Flemeng. This is # 64 of 170 large paper copies on Holland paper, out of an edition of 220. (Carteret 1946: IV, p. 359, "edition estimee.") In a lovely binding by Stikeman & Co, signed in inner dentelles, of full blue crushed morocco gilt, decorated in rules, fillets and floral designs on covers and in spine compartments. Marbled endpapers and decorative turn-ins in gilt. Top edge gilt. Ribbon markers. Faint superficial half-inch crack to front outer hinge on Volume I. and II, else fine.
