Davies , 1801. scruffed leather hard boards with gilt ltrs in black box and gilt decorative lines on spine, both front & back cover boardss are present but detached, corners & head-heel of spine are bumped and just beginning to fray, ffep is loose from binding and attached by thread at bottom of page, two names on ffep dated 1806 & 1954, printed on PALE blue paper, clean and tight binding. Excellent shape for being 220 years old. Designed chiefly to illustrate the Latin classics, by explaining words and phrases, from the rites and customs to which they refer.. Fifth Edition, Corrected . Hardcover. Good/No DJ. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
