Boston: William Crosby and Co, 1840. Hardcover. Good +. 189, [3] p.: 2 full-page illustrations; 17 cm. Brown rib-grain cloth with gilt-stamped cover title; blind-stamped decoration on both boards. Author's advertisement for other books in the Rollo series on one unpaginated page following text. First edition. Former owner's name on front free endpaper: Sarah R. Towne. In Good+ Condition: edges rubbed; loss along both joints and at tail of spine; ink stains on front board; discoloration on back board; light foxing and finger soiling. A solid copy of the first edition of this title in the Rollo series.
