SIGNED and inscribed by author; tall 8vo, bright green 1/3 cloth with black lettering over very light green boards, illustrated with several B&W photos, archival mylar-protected photographic dust jacket (unclipped) depicting smiling Will Rogers, indexed, 218 pages. Unpaginated stapled booklet entitled " Will Rogers Memorial" laid in. Will Rogers (1879 - 1935) was an American stage and film actor, vaudeville performer, cowboy, humorist, newspaper columnist, and social commentator from Oklahoma. Known as "Oklahoma's Favorite Son", Rogers was born to a Cherokee family in Indian Territory. By the mid-1930s Rogers was hugely popular in the United States, its leading political wit and the highest paid of Hollywood film stars.<br/><br/>VERY GOOD CONDITION: tight, bright, clean copy with uniformly but light age-toned pages and foxing along top edges. Very Good dust jacket (unclipped) with slight edgewear mainly apparent at spine ends. No remainder marks.
