A first edition of Knight's fascinating investigation into the myth and ballads of Robin Hood, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. In this book, Knight details and analyses the entire phenomenon of the outlaw Robin Hood, his resistance to authority, and how successive ages have interpreted him. Stephen Knight was, until September 2011, a distinguished research professor in English literature at Cardiff University, and is a professorial fellow of Literature at the University of Melbourne. His areas of expertise include medieval English and European literature, Robin Hood, Merlin, cultural studies, crime fiction, and Australian matters. He has authored over thirty books, five of which are on the subject of Robin Hood. In publisher's original cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in lovely condition. Dust wrapper has a little edgewear to the upper extremities and head of the spine, but is otherwise very smart. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Fine
