Red paper covers with title and illustration on the front cover. Title on the spine. Light fade to the red paper. This copy is inscribed and signed on the title page - "For Tess Hoffman with the Compliments of the author Mary R. Bullard." This copy includes a one page hand written letter dated September 21 (no year) on Mrs. Bullard's letterhead. The letter addressed to Dr. Hoffman discusses the book and mentions using Hoffman as a source for her research. The Hoffman's are cited on pages 72 and 160.
