Numbers 87 & 88 in Everyman's Library "History" series, edited by Ernest Rhys. --- In 'flatback' binding style 1, full red cloth-covered boards with elaborate Reginald Knowles-designed gilt spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front covers, brown topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at title pages, endpapers & frontis. Volumes lacks the dust jackets. --- A well-preserved, unmarked, sound set, though with mild soiling to covers.; 16mo - 6 to 7 in. tall; (6), 504, (6), 460 pages .
