Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1912. First edition.. A fine (new) copy.. Pp. 269-336; 25 full page black-and-white plates (fine halftones, photographs, line-drawings). Later yellow cloth, lettered in black on the spine, sm 4to. This work presents the cephalopods of the western shore of North America between the Bering Strait on the north and the Coronado Islands on the south. This includes the Bering Sea and the North Pacific Ocean. There are great illustrations of octopi. Bulletin of the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries for 1910, volume 30, document no. 761. No ownership marks.
