Dublin: Whelan and Son, 1918. Arthur Griffith (1871-1922), the founder of Sinn Fein, set forth his hopes for a solution to Ireland's political problems with England in these articles from his paper "The United Irishman." Originally published in 1904. An important work in Irish political thought, uncommon in the Trade. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the Third Printing. Blue cloth binding , with titling in black on spine and front cover, which is also ruled. Clean text; 170 pages, with frontis portrait of the Hungarian statesman Francis ("Ferenc") Deak, 1803-1876. There is a previous-owner stamp on the front paste-down and a crossed-out signature (1924) on the FFEP. The cover has faded to tan on the spine and the margins of the rear cover.. Third Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
