The first edition of this work from music critic and novelist Edward Sackville-West , a Limited Edition, number 627 of 850 copies printed on hand made paper. In the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.A melodrama based upon Homer's 'Odyssey', this play was originally written for radio broadcasting, with the orchestral score of the work composed by conductor and pianist Benjamin Britten.Illustrated with six plates from artist and abstract sculptor Henry Moore, of which four are brightly coloured. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Light fading to back strip, with minor shelf wear to spine tail. Dust wrapper back strip age toned to back strip, with loss and chipping to back strip head, and edge wear to tail. Small closed tear to head of front wrap, with small losses of colour to folds. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
