Dual gray and burgundy cloth hardcover with black and gilt title block on the front cover and spine. Illustrated dust jacket. Light shelf wear to cloth hardcover. A few light spots on the rear dust jacket panel.

This copy is inscribed by the author "For John Wyatt Bonner, with much gratitude and every good wish, William Harris Bragg 3 December 1999." A Wormsloe Foundation card is laid inside the front cover. John Bonner was an author, historian, head of special collections at the University of Georgia, President of the Athens Historical Society, and a member of South Carolina Historical Society.
