London: Rowland Ward, 1910. Hardback. Very Good. 9.5" by 7" . Not Stated . The uncommon sixth edition of this volume of extensive records of big game, with illustrations. The sixth edition of this extensive work, containing a vast record of big game, with details on their distribution, characteristics, weight and dimensions. The inclusion of measurements of the animals was pioneering of its kind. Including anecdotes from hunters and naturalists; it was considered to be a valuable resource for hunters. The first edition of this work appeared under the title Horn Measurements and Weights of the Great Game of the World. This edition was enlarged with numerous extra illustrations in text, with a frontispiece of Ward. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally generally sound with minor shelf wear and minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine, general light soiling to the boards and spine. Hinges only slightly strained, holding firm. The volume firmly bound. Light minor spotting to the first few leaves, otherwise the pages are bright and clean throughout. Illustrated with a frontispiece and numerous plates in text throughout.
