Thriller Book Club, 1965. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Published by the Thriller Book Club in association with Hale. Blue cloth boards, black titles to spine, in a period pictorial dust jacket (mild ring mark on boards, DJ has small, mild paper scars along leading edge). Internally bright, neat crisp and clean. The Thriller Book Club was one of several book clubs established by the famous London Booksellers, Foyles, in the 1930s and 1940s. It issued quality contemporary fiction from both new and established authors in the club's genre. James Hadley Chase was a pen name of René Lodge Brabazon Raymond. He also wrote under the names James L Docherty, Raymond Marshall, R Raymond and Ambrose Grant. Novel features Carey. a spy who had defected to the Russians; when news leaks that he's swapped sides again, everyone is out to get him. We have a number of books by this author in stock. Book covered in non-adhesive mylar wrap to archival level.
