About This Item
Generic, 1931-01-01. Hardcover. Good/Unclipped. This edition published by Halcyon House in its Illustrated Library series. No date is given, but series appeared in the 1950s, and not earlier. Translator from French to English is not credited but it is interesting to see the imaginative illustrations of Alexander King, a witty guest on talk shows in the 1950s and 1960s, and himself author of books such as "May This House Be Safe From Tigers" and "Is There Life After Birth?" Unfaded but slightly yellowed white boards with whimsical green and pink designs have little edge wear, because well protected by pictorial green, pink and black d.j, itself having suffered chipping to edges. Book plate of former owner on front paste down.
