England: After the Battle, 1976. Book. Good. Hardcover. Facsimile Edition. 205mm x 225mm. Silverfish abrasions in a 3.5cm band to front adjacent to spine and 1cm wide across top front. Minor similar abrasion to rear. Internally very clean. Binding tight. Faithful reproduction of Guy Gibson's Flying Log Book, which covers the period of 15th November 1940 through to 16th September 1944. The attention to detail is noteworthy including the board covers, type of paper used and the first two pages being stuck together as in the original. This iconic document features his flight mission for 16th/17th May 1943, the legendary 'Operation Chastise', which has gone down in history as the Dambusters Raid. Gibson led 617 Squadron on the raid and for his actions received the Victoria Cross..
