About This Item
London, Hodder and Stoughton, 1980. . First edition, first impression, inscribed by the author; 8vo; publisher's brown boards, titles to spine gilt, with the dust jacket. A superb copy in the publisher's price-clipped dust jacket.
With the author's signed presentation inscription to the title page, 'To Harold Happy Reading Jeffrey Archer OCT 2003 - 1980'. The recipient was Harold Henry Sebag-Montefiore, lawyer, politician and friend of Archer's. One might imagine genuine presentation copies of Archer's work to be common on the market, but in our experience copies with proper associations are scarce.
