Paris: Guillaumin et Cie, 1869. 2nd ed. (1st-1868) . Half leather & marbled boards. Fine. 14 Cms x 22 Cms. authour list+xl+239; small (15 mm) round stamp of Birmingam Assay Office library bottom front endpaper, this however is perfectly innocuous, otehrwise internally clean, tight and unmarked in minimally worn bright covers, gilt decorated panelled spine with seperate gilt-lettered title and author labels, boards unrubbed and only a few ribs to leather, primarily from minor corner rubbing. t.p. and 'Avant-Propos' dated 1869, n'Notes Preliminaires' dated 1868 which I take to be 1st ed. date. Scarce in this condition.
