With a 2p., Authograph Letter From Author laid in The authorwas a Nova Scotian academic and discusses his book in the enclosed autograph letter. These are the memoirs of the great ballad collector, with many specimens reproduced and many interesting histories of important ballads. Itis still a major reference book for folklorist.
