Richard Pennington was an Australian bibliographer, writer, amateur printer and former Head Librarian, University of Queensland, Australia, 1939-1946; University Librarian, McGill University, 1947-64; author of the autobiographical Peterley Harvest: the Private Diary of David Peterley (London: Hutchinson, 1960) and A Descriptive Catalogue of the Etched Works of Wenceslaus Hollar, 1607- 1677 (Cambridge : Cambridge University Press, 1982). He was also responsible for two key works on the Australian poet Christopher Brennan: Christopher Brennan : some recollections (Sydney : Angus and Robertson, 1970); and A conversation with Christopher Brennan on religion / recorded by Richard Pennington and now for the first time printed (Blanzac, France : Richard Pennington, 1978).
