About This Item

London England: Collins and Harville Press, 1980. Hardback. First Edition. Slight foxing to edge. Slight shelf wear and small tear to top edge of D/J. Price clipped to D/J. In November 1976 Joy was given an orphaned leopard called penny, with the intention that she would ultimately return the cub to the wild when it was able to look after itself. This book reveals just how much more difficult it was to raise and return Penny to the wild than it had been Elsa and Pippa. Nevertheless, by the end of 1979 Joy Adamson had lived to see her latest experiment triumphantly succeed (and to complete this book) only to die so tragically a few days later. Illustrated. 190 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.). First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardback.
