Fair. 15 Cm x 22 Cm. unf. col.spectroscopy chart f/piece +xv+481+xvi )pub's April 1891 science cataglogue), 46 text figs fr.pastedown has lib.label of 'The Guardians of the Standardf Wrought Plate in Birmingham, fr. gutter opening after end-paper, innoc ous small (15 mm) round stamp of the Birmingham Assay Office Libaray to bottom half-title, top edge dusty, otehewise internally generally clean, and unmarked, but slightly shaken, covers clean but lacking spine and boards quite shaky, top outer corners rubbed. Uncommon. Appears to have been issued as a 2nd vol. to the 1876 edition (also in my listing, with uniform binding) which t.p. has as Volume I, this though has now Volume number, the pub.catalogues are identical but the order of contents appears to be very similar.
